This study investigates the sweet orange value chain in Ramechhap, Nepal, analyzing production costs, key actors, marketing dynamics, and socio-economic factors through surveys, interviews, and field observations of 60 farmers, 10 traders, 5 retailers, and 2 informants, revealing economic significance yet challenges like value chain inefficiencies, limited irrigation, and poor post-harvest infrastructure, and recommending targeted training, modern technologies, improved market access, inclusive policies, and better post-harvest facilities to enhance productivity, profitability, and regional development.
