This research aimed to evaluate the knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) of brinjal growers regarding the post-harvest management. A multistage sampling technique was employed to select 50 respondents from various locations in Chapainawabganj using a pre-prepared structured questionnaire. Descriptive statistics, including mean, percentages, and standard deviation, were employed as the analytical tools for data analysis. The demographic profiles of farmers in association with KAP revealed that most of the respondents were middle-aged, primarily educated, had medium sized household and fields, moderate farming expertise, earned low yearly income and had limited access to training. In the research area, half of the farmers reported experiencing severe cases of phomopsis fruit rot in brinjal, and 52% of them used gunny bags for packaging. The study also highlighted that about 56% of the respondents had a mediocre knowledge of post-harvest management. Regarding attitude, majority of the farmers concurred that implementing effective management strategies could significantly reduce post-harvest losses. In terms of practice, a large proportion of farmers in the study acknowledged concerns about brinjal quality and safety are important. The findings of this research suggest that developing guidelines to increase farmers’ knowledge could support their attitude and practice related to post-harvest management. So, policymakers and extension service providers should provide targeted training and demonstrations to enhance awareness in the study area.
